  • Dr. Scott Goldman is a High Performance and Clinical psychologist. For over 25 years, he has served and continues to serve NBA, NFL, MLB, and NCAA organizations. He delivers collaborative and strategic resources that are proactive across all aspects of the organization and contributes to the entire organization’s performance on and off the field. He provides clinical and performance psychology to the athletes. Additionally, he provides psychological and human system expertise to the Head Coach, General Manager, and Vice President as well as their staff within a variety of responsibilities including talent acquisition, talent management, and education, as well as providing insights so they can process and generate solutions when managing talent and organizational demands.

    Dr. Goldman has worked with some of the best athletes, coaches, and teams in the world including World Champions, Gold medal winners, world record holders, MVPs from every major sport, Final Four Teams including a #1 ranked NCAA men’s basketball team, NCAA Champions, BCS Bowl Winners, and Conference Champions in the B10 and Pac-12. Additionally, the NCAA enlisted Dr. Goldman for many projects, including co-authoring the NCAA’s Best Practices and Guidelines for Understanding And Supporting Student-Athlete Mental Wellness, and authoring a chapter in the NCAA sponsored Mind, Body, & Sport: Understanding and Supporting Student-Athlete Mental Wellness. Additionally, the NCAA selected Dr. Goldman to serve on their Mental Health Task Force. Dr. Goldman co-authored the first National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) consensus statement regarding the treatment of Student-Athletes. Dr. Goldman has been honored with fellow status by the American Psychology Association (APA) and the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP).

    Dr. Goldman earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Tulane University, and his Master’s degree and Ph.D. in Clinical and School Psychology from Hofstra University. He received post-doctoral training at The Ellis Institute, under the tutelage of Albert Ellis, the creator of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). While at The Ellis Institute, he received advanced training and certification in child and adolescent therapy, drug addiction treatment, and attained Supervisory Certification to train other professionals in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy.

  • Dr. Bowman earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from James Madison University, and a Master’s degree and Psy.D. in School Psychology from St. John’s University. He has been a NYS Licensed Psychologist since 2007. For the past 12+ years, he has worked extensively with children and adolescents as a NYS Certified School Psychologist for the Great Neck Public Schools. This has involved performing comprehensive, individually-administered psychological evaluations, interpreting academic, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral profiles, and writing psychological reports to guide instructional planning. In his role as a school psychologist, he has also been responsible for providing individual and group counseling to students, as well as consulting with parents, teachers, and other professionals. Dr. Bowman has provided therapy and counseling in a variety of settings for children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Bowman received training in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) at the Albert Ellis Institute, where he served as a fellow and staff therapist for 4 years. In addition to providing individual and group therapy and co-leading workshops with Dr. Ellis, Dr. Bowman received advanced training and certification in child and adolescent therapy and drug addiction treatment.

    Dr. Bowman also received supervisory certification enabling him to train other professionals in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. He has also provided individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults in private practice for over 10 years. Dr. Bowman is the creator of the Athletic Intelligence Quotient (AIQ), an intelligence test that assesses the innate cognitive abilities that are most utilized in attaining, developing, and applying athletic skills, strategies, and tactics. The test is being used by Olympic, NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS, and MLB teams, as well as multiple Power 5 Universities and E-Sport teams. In addition to his school and clinical work, Dr. Bowman has also taught undergraduate and graduate students at Long Island University in the College of Education and Information Sciences. This has involved preparing future special education teachers in matters such as differentiated instruction, assessment and intervention planning, and special education law. While a graduate student at St. John’s, Dr. Bowman worked closely with Dr. Dawn Flanagan, a leader in the field of intellectual ability assessment. This included serving as her graduate teaching assistant, responsible for teaching future school psychologists about the use of intellectual ability (IQ) tests. It also involved participating in an expert consensus study of intellectual abilities and contributing to the text, The Achievement Test Desk Reference (ATDR; Flanagan, Ortiz, Alfonso, & Mascolo, 2002). Later, he participated in a co-norming project of two of the most widely used measures of intellectual ability. He also gained valuable experience in neuropsychological assessment, conducting evaluations of children and adults with traumatic brain injuries, learning disabilities, and other neurological disorders. Due to his strong knowledge and interest in theories of intelligence, he chose to investigate the role of emotional intelligence as a predictor of school psychologists’ clinical competence for his doctoral dissertation research. His specialties include: Intellectual Ability Assessment; Psychological Assessment; Anxiety Disorders; Depressive Disorders; Children and Adolescents; Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy.

  • Dr. Alex Auerbach is the Director of Wellness and Development for the Toronto Raptors. He joined the Toronto Raptors after serving as the Director of Clinical and Sport Psychology for the University of Arizona. Dr. Auerbach has worked with NCAA Division-I schools in the Pac-12, ACC, Big 12, and Conference USA, where his work has included serving as the performance consultant for a Conference USA bowl-winning football team, ACC championship team, and student-athletes who continued in professional sport and/or the Olympic games. Dr. Auerbach has worked for 7 years providing clinical care, crisis intervention, and performance consultation for professional, collegiate, and Olympic athletes, as well as coaching staff, medical staff, and sports administration. Dr. Auerbach earned his doctoral degree in counseling psychology with a specialization in sport and performance psychology from the University of North Texas. He received a Master’s in Business Administration from Salve Regina University and a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Arizona.

    He has published research and presented at international and national conferences, serves as a journal reviewer for the Journal of Athlete Development, and has been nominated for and served in leadership roles for the Association of Applied Sport Psychology and Clinical/Counseling Sport Psychology Association. Prior to attending University of North Texas, Dr. Auerbach gained experience coaching football and working in team operations at the Division I and NFL levels. He served as an undergraduate assistant with University of Arizona football while completing his Bachelor’s degree and subsequently worked as a full-time offensive assistant coach and assistant director of football operations at a Division I FCS University. Dr. Auerbach has also worked in team operations for two NFL organizations. Dr. Auerbach is a member of the American Psychological Association’s Division 47 (Exercise and Sport Psychology) and Division 17 (Counseling Psychology), as well as the Association of Applied Sport Psychology. Dr. Auerbach is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant, a Licensed Psychologist, and a member of the United States Olympic Committee Sport Psychology Registry.

  • Matt Chapman is an advisor with Athletic Intelligence Measures and brings over 25 years of corporate experience to the AIM team, more than a decade of which was spent consulting with Fortune 2000 companies on the use of psychological assessments for hiring and talent development. Matt has experience across a wide realm of psychometric assessment tools including structured interviews, cognitive testing, personality measures, biodata scales, ability tests and machine learning. He graduated with an Engineering degree from Tulane University and currently is the Vice President of Smartpress, an online custom printing business.

    Matt spent 14 years with the global assessment organization, SHL, and its predecessor companies across a variety of leadership roles including Vice President of Commercial Operations and leading the North American Professional Services team. SHL is one the world’s largest assessment and testing providers with millions of assessments delivered across more than 150 countries and 40+ languages.

  • Tyler Johnstone has more than 15 years experience in entrepreneurship, having built and sold 3 successful businesses thus far in his career, most notably a real estate software company sold to Keller Williams International in 2015.

    Tyler’s business acumen and proficiency in business operations has allowed him to create scalable and durable businesses. Tyler’s competitive edge and desire to provide winning solutions stems from his lifelong passion for sports.

    Tyler received an athletic scholarship, graduating from Auburn University after spending time at Purdue University and Connors State College. Following University, Tyler was signed by the New York Mets to a minor league contract.
